CloudLinux stops licenses for ispmanager 5 business 05.31.2022 – what you can do

Ispmanager

CloudLinux and ispmanager ended their partnership. CloudLinux, KernelCare and ImunifyAV licenses will be suspended after May 31, 2022.

On April 28, we released a hotfix for ispmanager 6 that allows to activate a CloudLinux license with keys from other resellers.

For Ispmanager 5 Business such a solution is technically unavailable because of EOL. Therefore, for ispmanager 5 users there are two options:

  • If ispmanager 5 Business with a lifetime license is installed on the server with white IP, you can activate CloudLinux Shared OS with IP address in CloudLinux client area.
  • If ispmanager 5 Business with a lifetime license is installed on the server with gray IP, you can not activate CloudLinux in the same way. Therefore, for you to keep your services on CloudLinux, we are giving a free license of the sixth version of Business for one year in exchange for ispmanager 5 Business lifetime license. The promo is available if your account has an active lifetime license of ispmanager 5 Business.

You can switch to ispmanager 6 Business with this promo until July 1.

How to migrate to ispmanager 6 Business

  • Request the ispmanager 6 Business through technical support.
  • Depending on your OS, update or move the panel.
    • Panels installed on current operating systems can most often be upgraded without transferring data. A detailed procedure is provided in the documentation.
    • Panels on legacy operating systems need to be migrated. You will need a "clean" server for this. The details are available in the documentation.

Before importing data, do not forget to install CloudLinux in ispmanager 6 business. The process is detailed in the documentation.

Migration of data will lead to temporary unavailability of all websites created in ispmanager 5. We recommend notifying customers in advance about the period of technical work.

Important: If you do not update the panel to version 6, the restrictions management plugin - LVE Manager in CloudLinux will become unavailable. In addition, updates from CloudLinux will stop coming. Websites will continue to work.
