Shared domain name

This is the documentation for the deprecated product DNSmanager 5. It is no longer updated and may be irrelevant. Documentation for the current version of DNSmanager can be found in the DNSmanager 6 section.

By default, in DNSmanager users cannot add a domain if it is a subdomain owned by another user. Shared domains allow creating a domain where reseller's users can create their subdomains.

Note

Only Resellers can create shared domains.

Perform the following steps to create a shared domain:

Navigate to Settings→ Shared domains → Add.
Enter a Domain name.
Set the Domain limit — this is the maximum number of subdomains that every user can create on a shared domain.
Click Ok.
