This is the documentation for the deprecated product DNSmanager 5. It is no longer updated and may be irrelevant. Documentation for the current version of DNSmanager can be found in the DNSmanager 6 section.
install the control panel on a fault-tolerant virtual or dedicated server. You can install DNSmanager together with BILLmanager, VMmanager or DCImanager.
You must not install DNSmanager and ISPmanager on a single server.
We don't recommend installing DNSmanager on the same server with IPmanager.
Minimum system requirements
- CPU: 1 GHz;
- Kernel: 1;
- RAM: 2 Gb;
- HDD: 10 Gb in the root directory.
Recommended system requirements
- CPU: 2 GHz;
- Kernel: 2;
- RAM: 4 Gb;
- HDD: 20 Gb in the root directory.
Operating system
- CentOS 7 x64 (recommended).
You should install a minimal version of the operating system.
Do not upgrade the operating system to a major version on the server where the control panel is installed.
We strongly recommend a clean install of DNSmanager. All the services that DNSmanager requires, will be installed automatically during software installation.
We don't recommend that you install the software product from a third-party repository.
Network settings
Allow incoming and outgoing connections to the ports:
- 22/TCP — for SSH;
- 1500/TCP — for web-interface;
- 53/TCP, 53/UDP — for DNS operation.
