How Turon Telecom Launched a Hosting Business in Two Weeks with ISPsystem Solutions

Turon Telecom (Turon Media LLC) is one of the largest internet service providers and cable TV operators in Tashkent. The company has been operating since 1995 and was the first in Uzbekistan’s capital to offer cable TV services.

In 2015, Turon Telecom decided to expand into a new line of business: hosting. This led to the launch of the Turon Cloud brand.

The company already had the infrastructure needed to launch its hosting business, but it needed a software solution that would allow it to bring the service to market quickly and automate key processes.

The team evaluated several options and tested OpenStack, but building a complete platform with billing and integrations in-house would have required significant time and resources. The company therefore decided to look for a ready-made commercial solution.

After testing different solutions, the company chose ISPsystem products: BILLmanager, VMmanager, DNSmanager, and IPmanager. The project also uses a partner solution, the ispmanager control panel, which is compatible with ISPsystem products and works effectively alongside them.

A key advantage was the all-in-one architecture and ecosystem approach: ISPsystem solutions brought virtual infrastructure, billing, DNS, IP address, and hosting management together within a single ecosystem. This made it possible to build connected processes and automate them without relying on multiple separate tools.

Immediately after the trial period, the company found that ISPsystem platforms covered more than 90% of its requirements. The ability to automate accounting processes was particularly valuable.

The team deployed and integrated the ISPsystem products with a local payment system in a short period of time. Just two weeks after the integration was completed, Turon Cloud was able to start selling hosting services.

Turon Cloud launched a new business line with minimal investment in its software infrastructure and without expanding its team. This helped the company avoid additional costs and minimize the impact of human error.
