How network diagram works

The connection map in DCImanager is built dynamically based on data from equipment cards. The administrator can switch between display layers for different tasks: check devices in a specific VLAN, evaluate the overall connectivity diagram of switches, or display only the BMC and PDU control connections.

Is it possible to view information about different equipment units on the network diagram?

Yes. The following data is displayed in a separate section:

name, type and ID of the device;
information about the location in the rack or chassis;
connections grouped by status and equipment types;
IP addresses.

Is it possible to change the location of equipment on the network diagram?

Yes. To do this, go to the editing mode in the "Edit Map" section of the control feed.

How do I filter devices on the network diagram?

Use the filter selection field on the control panel and select the desired value: "All equipment", "Network", "VLAN", "BMC" or "Power supply equipment".

How do I add a new device to the network diagram?

All devices that have at least one connection are automatically displayed on the network diagram. Devices without connections are in a separate section - you can create a new connection, and it will automatically appear on the diagram.
