BILLmanager – 2025 results. New marketing tools and top 10 releases that made the year better

2025 has become a year of systematic growth for BILLmanager. The platform team has consistently improved the product's performance for large installations. This has been an extensive internal work, whose results are noticeable in everyday operation. We believe users felt the changes, and we will keep this on track in 2026!

At the same time, we have been developing tools that help companies work more efficiently with their clients. Last year, we focused on the platform's marketing benefits – bonus and referral programs, as well as improving the product catalog.

In just one year, we made 25 releases, every one of which has expanded BILLmanager's capabilities and responded to user requests. In early 2026, we will focus on developing BILLmanager integrations with DCImanager, improving the performance and usability of key user scenarios, and finalizing the bonus program.

We have compiled a list of the top 10 most notable features of 2025. And there is a major spoiler in store for the finale!

Development of marketing tools and user experience

1. Bonus program

In 2025, BILLmanager added the ability to create and configure a user loyalty bonus program in the provider settings. This tool allows customers to reward the clients for activity or completion of target actions. For example, the repeat purchases. The user accumulates points in a virtual wallet and can use them to pay for services or receive discounts.

On the provider's end, the bonus program is flexibly configurable in the platform interface. You can specify the name of the program and bonuses, the validity period, the rules of the bonus program, and the mandatory consent for participation. Fine-tuned logic is supported for accrual and deduction: fixed bonuses or a percentage of the purchase amount, rules for specific tariffs and services, priorities and conditions of application.

In the Personal Account, the client can see the status of their bonus account, the history of accruals and deductions, and the number of bonuses that will be awarded when ordering the selected tariff. This makes the program transparent for users and easy to manage for the provider.

2. Referral program

Based on user requests and needs, the BILLmanager team worked on creating a referral program – we expanded its capabilities and added new options:

  • validity period;
  • selecting the accrual type (fixed or percentage of the cost of expenses);
  • indicating the moment of accrual;
  • working with the schedule and the ability to set the frequency of accruals;
  • the right to set conditions for the application of accrual rules, for example, “Always” or “By turnover of an individual referral”;
  • a number of visual improvements for easier use of the interface.

We have also implemented an automatic migration of referral programs. New features are available in the Marketing → Referral Programs section. Partners receive monetary awards for participation on the 1st day of each month. Plans for 2026 include expanding the program with reports in the BI module.

3. Improvements of payment processes

Over the course of the year, we have been developing the user experience in the order payment process. Clients who have already made payments with the provider no longer need to re-confirm the payer and payment method – for subsequent purchases, the system immediately takes them to the final payment stage.

We have also added the ability to apply a promo code immediately before paying for an order, making it easier and faster to take advantage of promotions.

New and ongoing integrations

4. External S3 storage

We have added unstructured data storage to our service catalog by connecting external S3 storage based on Ceph RADOS Gateway. Data are stored in the form of objects and buckets, which allows providers to provide cloud storage services to clients

.

S3 object storage supports automatic service processing and access provisioning, bucket management, static website configuring, and various types of tariffs and addons. A bucket can be used as hosting for a static website, such as a landing page, documentation, or SPA application.

5. Expanded virtual machine management in VMmanager

Last year, we have added the features to make virtual machine management from the BILLmanager interface even easier and more native for clients and providers. You can now edit the password, add a note to a virtual machine, as well as force its stop and restart directly from the BILLmanager interface without switching to VMmanager. This significantly speeds up work with virtual infrastructure.

6. The ability for the client to select “their own server configuration” for integration with DCImanager

Hosting provider now have the ability to create tariffs for selling dedicated servers not only by server, but also by client-specific configuration – it is possible to assemble a server from components and order the service. The tariff is available due to the synchronization of inventory from the warehouse in DCImanager. We have also added the ability to display parameter fields in the platform when ordering resources one by one.

These options help clients find a suitable and already prepared dedicated server in the warehouse. If it is not available, tasks are created for the purchase or assembly of the required components.

7. Synchronization of unaccounted VMs and autodiscovery for VMmanager

We have added a VM discovery feature that allows platform administrators to find virtual machines that are no longer linked between BILLmanager and VMmanager, as well as services without VMs linked to them. Synchronization is started manually in the section “Integration → Service processing module”.

If discrepancies are detected, the administrator assigns a VM to the client by creating a new service or initiates the creation of a virtual machine in VMmanager for an existing one. Autodiscovery facilitates service and infrastructure management, increases the transparency of service accounting, and reduces the risk of errors.

Improved work with resources and statistics

8. Displaying statistics in the Client area

The improved statistics management interface in the client's personal account, which was updated in 2025, made resource control more visual for analysis. Users now have access to two operating modes: daily consumption and monthly overage.

Service usage statistics allow providers to monitor resource consumption, analyze load, and forecast demand, while customers can track resource balances and plan expenses.

Also, for flexible resource configuration, a “Statistics Resources” section has been added to the client’s and administrator's personal accounts. This section displays a list of services with additional statistics and their status: normal, approaching overage, or overage. This enables prompt load analysis and response to deviations.

9. Auto-assigning the clients to groups

To support up-to-date database segmentation, we have improved our customer grouping capabilities and auto-assigning mechanism. Now they operate under the following conditions: registration, availability and verification method, and payer status. The BILLmanager administrator can group clients to:

  • set individual exchange rates and payment methods;
  • limit or expand access to services and tariffs;
  • connect clients to promotions and referral programs;
  • prohibit or allow clients to participate in a referral program;
  • include a group in a client segment for mailings.

Users have access to flexible configuration of conditions: auto-assignment works under the rule “periodically” or “start now”. We have also expanded the “Authorization method” – you can select any of the available methods from the provider.

The auto-assignment feature facilitates client management and reduces manual operations.

10. Mass recalculation of prices

We have added a mass recalculation of prices for tariffs. The provider can change prices of selected items by a given coefficient or amount, which facilitates working with tariff plans and speeds up price updates. The option is especially relevant when the tariffs are adjusted taking into account the inflation, changes in currency exchange rate, or application of discounts.

Clouden – a new stage of BILLmanager development

At the end of 2025, we completed the development of Clouden, a product that became a logical continuation of BILLmanager Enterprise. The new solution replaces it and is aimed at infrastructure customers: it combines the key architectural solutions of the previous version and allows infrastructure management in a single window.

Clouden is a universal platform for IT infrastructure monitoring and management of multi-cloud, virtualization, and physical resources in a single interface. The solution belongs to the CMP (Cloud Management Platform) category and is suitable for organizations with a clear and reliable management of heterogeneous IT environments on the agenda.

So much has happened in the past year. 2026, we have big plans for you!
