Expanding available features and changing the cost of BILLmanager

ISPSystem

From May 2, 2023, the billing of the BILLmanager 6 product changes. We have decided to abandon a large number of BILLmanager 6 Startup, Advanced, and Corporate plans and developed the Hosting&Cloud plan, which allows you to use all options available in the BILLmanager platform. The changes will affect the license payment system - now the cost of the license depends on the total turnover of services sold by the client in BILLmanager during the licensing period.

What does that mean?

  • The cost of the license is determined by the BILLmanager owner's turnover from the services provided in the platform to external clients during the license period. Read more about this below in "What the new billing takes into account".
  • All functions of the platform are available "out of the box"
By purchasing a license for the platform, you get a full set of its functions. No need to pay extra for separate modules, tools and integrations.
  • Multiprovider support
All clients are now able to work with multiple projects in BILLmanager
  • Regular updates and new features
Even with a basic license, you get access to regular updates and all new features of the platform as soon as they are released.

In 2023, we are planning to release a number of improvements and add new features:

  • Improved order path
extensive redesign of the user path and service ordering interfaces
  • BI tools for all
In the June release, BI tools will be included in BILLmanager 6 Hosting&Cloud. The BI-system allows you to create a variety of reports for specific tasks of business, analyze data, predict the consumption of resources, can help identify existing problems and opportunities to solve them, as well as predict and plan the future of the company.
  • Processing of discounts and promotions
improvements to the user path and interface for managing discounts and promotions
  • Tariff grouping option to bundle tariffs into packages
  • Adaptive design

When do the changes take effect?

For the existing clients from 02.10.2023: you can renew the current license on the same terms only until 02.10.2023; the annual license will be calculated proportionally to that date.

How is the license paid for?

You can pay for your license monthly or annually. With monthly billing, you initially purchase a license at the minimum rate. If turnover is exceeded, additional license extensions are made on a postpaid basis.

If you choose the annual tariff, a one-time prepayment is required. You choose a rate within your projected turnover. If the limit is exceeded, an additional extension of the current license will be required. The BILLmanager interface provides tools to track the actual turnover and paid limit.

What does the new billing system take into account?

The new billing system takes into account the costs paid.

Paid costs are the portion of the credited payment that is used in the current reporting period to cover expenses, regardless of when these expenses were incurred.

Paid costs include:

  • portion of the credited payment in the reporting period that was allocated to pay any costs for any period;
  • costs that became payable in this reporting period, even if covered by payments from the previous period.

How do I switch to a new tariff?

You can change the license tariff in your client area. Enter Products, then Licenses and select Change Tariff. Next, you need to run the process described in the documentation.

This is a reminder that EOL (End-of-life) of BILLmanager 5 will be effective as of 03.07.2023.

You can extend your BILLmanager 5 license only until July 3, 2023. You will only be able to upgrade to the sixth version of the product at the new Hosting&Cloud tariff. The cost of the new Hosting&Cloud tariff will be equal to the previous price of your tariff until 02.10.2023; the annual license will be calculated proportionally before that date.

You can read more about the stages of EOL here.
