Connection to a virtual machine depends on the type of guest operating system:

LInux family OS — you can connect to the OS console via SSH protocol, VNC, or SPICE. Connection to the GUI shell is not supported;
Windows family OS — you can connect to the GUI shell via VNC or SPICE.
