Description
Platform logs take up a lot of space. How to reduce the volume of logs?
Solution
To optimize platform logs, follow these recommendations:
- reduce the logging level. The deeper the logging level, the more detailed information is written to the log, and the more space the log files take up. Read more in Logging in BILLmanager;
- configure automatic deletion of old logs (rotation):
- Go to Settings → System configuration → Log rotation section.
- Set the values in the following fields:
- Keep the log, days — how many days the logs will be stored in the operations log; Note
You can edit the value:
- via the web interface as described above;
- via the config file /usr/local/mgr5/etc/billmgr.conf. The ExpireLogsDays parameter is responsible for storing logs in the operation log. Default value of the parameter — 365. Read more in Configuration file parameters.
- Keep logs, days — how many days the logs will be stored in the archive.
