Disabling service renewal for a tariff plan

The instructions below allow you to block both automatic and manual renewal for all services linked to a deprecated tariff plan. This is useful when you need to completely phase out a tariff and migrate customers to new terms.

Description

It is necessary to disable renewal for services using a specific tariff plan. Disabling or deleting the tariff is not possible because it is already in use by active services.

Solution

To disable renewal for services using a deprecated tariff plan:

  1. Navigate to ProductsTariff plans
  2. Find the required tariff plan in the list and click Edit.
  3. Go to the Policy block → Tariff plan end date field.
  4. Set the date after which renewal will become impossible.
  5. Click Ok to save the changes.

After saving the changes, when a customer attempts to renew a service under the deprecated tariff, they will receive the following notification:

The end date of the service validity period - 2025-11-19. You cannot renew the service for more than the specified date.

Setting the tariff plan end date will allow you to:

  • block the creation of new services under the selected tariff;
  • prohibit both automatic and manual renewal of existing services after the specified date;
  • notify customers about the reason why renewal is no longer possible.
Note
Active services will continue to function until the end of their paid period.
