Moving virtual machine disks

This is the documentation for the deprecated product VMmanager 5. It is no longer updated and may be irrelevant. Documentation for the current version of VMmanager can be found in the VMmanager 6 section.

If the virtual machine disk is in an LVM, you can move the disk to another storage. To do this:

  1. Stop the VM: ManagementVirtual machines → select the VM → Stop button.
  2. Unmount the VM disk: ManagementVirtual machines → select the VM → Disks button → select the disk → click UnassignOk.
  3. Enter ManagementVirtual disks → select the disk → Move button.
  4. Select the Cluster Node and Storage where you want to move the disk.
  5. Press Ok.
  6. Connect the disk to the VM: ManagementVirtual machines → select the VM → Disks button → Connect button → specify the disk settings → Ok.
  7. Start the VM: ManagementVirtual machines → select the VM → Start button.
