Server requirements

This is the documentation for the deprecated product BILLmanager 6 Startup and BILLmanager 6 Advanced. It is no longer updated and may be irrelevant. Documentation for the current version of BILLmanager can be found in the BILLmanager 6 section.

Hardware requirements

The billing platform can be installed on a virtual or dedicated server. BILLmanager can be run in an IaaS environment.

Installation of BILLmanager in Kubernetes environment or in Docker container is not supported.

Supported processors are Intel and AMD with x86_64 architecture. Processors with ARM architecture are not supported.

This configuration is not suitable for installing a business intelligence module on the same server as BILLmanager. For server requirements for installing the module, see the article Installing the BI module.

System requirements

You can install IPmanager on the same server as BILLmanager 6. For more details, see the IPmanager documentation article. Use an unmodified operating system with a basic configuration: no third-party repositories and no additional services installed.

Operation of BILLmanager 6 on the same server as other ISPsystem products is not supported.

Supported operating systems:

AlmaLinux 9 (installation guide);
Ubuntu 24.04 — version 6.120 and later (installation guide).

Please install the panel on the server with the latest minor version of the operating system.

Operating systems CentOS 7 x64 and Ubuntu 20.04 are not supported (EOL reached on June 30, 2024 and May 31, 2025, respectively).

If you are using these OSes, we recommend migrating BILLmanager to a supported OS. For more details, see Migration between servers.

Network Settings

Allow incoming connections on TCP-ports:

1500, 443, 80 — for access to the web interface of the platform via HTTP/HTTPS;
22 — for support access.

Allow outgoing connections on TCP-ports:

443, 80 — for platform access to integration services;
8443 — for gathering statistics about the consumed turnover.

Port 8443 should be open for transmitting statistics on company turnover. This information is necessary for correct tariff plan calculation.

If you need to restrict access to the platform by IP address, allow connections for ISPsystem licensing servers:
