Transition between versions of BILLmanager 6

This is the documentation for the deprecated product BILLmanager 6 Startup and BILLmanager 6 Advanced. It is no longer updated and may be irrelevant. Documentation for the current version of BILLmanager can be found in the BILLmanager 6 section.

As of May 2, 2023, only one BILLmanager Hosting&Cloud plan will remain, which includes all the features of BILLmanager Corporate. Due to these changes it is necessary to switch to the new tariff.

After upgrading to a new tariff, upgrade the platform to version 6.73 or higher.

Switching from BILLmanager Corporate

If you are using a Corporate version, change the tariff in your client area: click Change tariff → select the new tariff → Switch. You will be redirected to purchase a license.

Switching from BILLmanager StartUp, Advanced

Change the tariff in your client area: click Change tariff → select the new tariff → Switch. You will be redirected to purchase a license.
Run the script in the server console:

/usr/local/mgr5/sbin/billmgr-upgrade.sh corporate

The script will delete the repository that was used to install the previous version of the platform, then load the repository of the version to be installed and install it on your server. Also, additional tables will be created in the database.

Switching from BILLmanager 5

BILLmanager 5 EOL took place on 07.03.2023. Active licenses will remain in effect until the paid date. After that date, you will need to switch to the new Hosting&Cloud tariff.

To switch to the new tariff from BILLmanager 5:

Change the tariff in the main menu of your client area. Click Change tariff → select the new tariff → Switch. You will be redirected to purchase a license.
Update BILLmanager 5 to version 6 following the instructions Updating to BILLmanager 6.

Until October 2, 2023, if you switch to BILLmanager 6 Hosting&Cloud, the current price of BILLmanager 5 will apply. After 02.10.2023 if you switch to BILLmanager 6 Hosting&Cloud the cost will change according to the tariff schedule.
