This is the documentation for the deprecated product BILLmanager 6 Startup and BILLmanager 6 Advanced. It is no longer updated and may be irrelevant. Documentation for the current version of BILLmanager can be found in the BILLmanager 6 section.
To offer DNS-hosting services on several DNSmanager (master and slave), create a user account with the Reseller permissions in both panels. You will need these accounts to integrate BILLmanager with DNSmanager.
Note:
Reseller's domain zones and users are located on the same namespace.
To create a reseller:
- Log in to DNSmanager with the admin permissions.
- Go to User accounts → Resellers → Add.
- Enter the Username, Password, and Confirmation.
- Enter the DNS namespace — a unique name associated with the user IP address. A free IP address will be allocated automatically while creating a new user. Learn more under IP pool management. The allocated IP address is specified as the IP of the user's domain NS-server. It is also used when transferring the domain zone between the master and the slave servers.
- To allocate an additional IP address, enable the option Two IP addresses.
- Specify the User limit and Domain limit for the reseller (optional fields).
- Enter additional information in the Notes field.
- Click on Ok to save the user.
