BMC console does not open

Problem

The BMC console window does not open. When trying to open the console, the connection setup window appears, but the connection fails.

Solution

Not all servers support opening an html console for the Open Console option. For some server types, only a java console is supported. If the html console is selected as the default interface in the BMC settings, attempts to connect to that console will fail.

To open the console, set the default console mode to Java in the BMC settings.
