You can add the processors to the server as an equipment. To do that, processors must be listed in the processor types. The configuration of the most popular processors is created in the directory by default.
Automatic processor type creation
DCImanager specifies the server equipment during diagnostics. If the specified processor is not matched in the found equipment, a new processor is created automatically. To find out more, read Server diagnostics.
Manual processor type creation
Click Types of equipment → Processors → Add
Specify:
- Name — full name of the processor. DCImanager specifies the processor name and adds it to the list if this name does not match with the field;
- Alias name — short name, which is used during platform name generation. If DCImanager creates processor during diagnostics, the alias will be generated automatically;
- Type of CPU socket — socket of the CPU installed in the platform;
- Scalability — CPU modes in systems with several sockets. Only — processor can work only in a group with the specified number of processors. Without only — processor can work in a group with the number of processors no more than:
- 1s only;
- 2s only;
