This article describes the specifics of configuring the "Application store" tariff. For general tariff plan settings, see How to create and configure a tariff plan.
Creating a tariff
To create a tariff plan for Applications:
- Go to Products → Tariff plans → click Create → select Application store.
- Specify the tariff settings.
- Configure the tariff plan content: Products → Tariff plans → select the created tariff → click Config.
Configuring a tariff
The main parameter of the "Application Store" tariff is the recipe. The values of the Processing module and Infrastructure plan fields depend on the selected recipe — when the recipe changes, these fields are updated automatically.
The Processing module field is the infrastructure processing module on the servers where the application is deployed. For example, VMmanager 6. The value is defined by the recipe and cannot be changed. When ordering, the application is deployed through the specified processing module with the current service activation algorithms:
- default cluster;
- server template;
- resource sufficiency check.
Additional settings
Specify the following parameters:
- Application recipe — select the configured application recipe instance from Products → Application recipes. The recipe defines the installation script, operating system, and minimum server resources. The tariff will not be available for ordering if no recipe is linked to it;
-
Infrastructure plan — select the tariff used to create the server for application deployment. The list of tariffs is formed according to the following rules:
- the tariff is linked to the processing module specified in the recipe;
- the tariff is active;
- the recipe OS matches the OSs linked to the infrastructure tariff;
- the add-on settings of the infrastructure tariff cover the minimum parameters of the recipe and the OS template.
When ordering, the system compares the minimum tariff add-on value with the recipe limit. The larger of these values is the minimum resource that the client can order.
Example 1. The minimum RAM value in the tariff is 4 GB, and in the recipe it is 8 GB. When ordering, the client will not be able to select a RAM value lower than 8 GB.
Example 2. The minimum RAM value in the tariff is 16 GB, and in the recipe it is 8 GB. When ordering, the client will not be able to select a RAM value lower than 16 GB.
If the infrastructure tariff has required parameters or add-ons that the client specifies when ordering, the system shows a message to the administrator. If possible, these fields are displayed on the service order form. If display is not possible, availability of such a tariff for use as an infrastructure tariff is limited.
Changing parameters when ordering
When ordering, the client can change the main parameters of the deployed infrastructure: number of CPUs, RAM, and disk space. The change limits are determined by the formula:
[max (Recipe, OS template, Included in infrastructure tariff); Maximum value in the infrastructure tariff]
where:
- the lower bound is the greatest value among the minimum parameters of the recipe, OS template, and the "Included in tariff" value;
- the upper bound is the maximum value set in the infrastructure tariff.
Example: In the OS template, the minimum disk size = 5 GB, in the application recipe the minimum disk size = 6 GB, in the infrastructure tariff the "Included in tariff" value = 1 GB, and the "Maximum value" = 20 GB. When ordering, the disk change range will be [6; 20].
If only one infrastructure tariff is specified in the recipe tariff settings, the tariff selection field when ordering is hidden or becomes unavailable. If several tariffs are specified, the client selects any of the offered ones — compatibility checks are performed at the tariff configuration level.
Other settings
For the "Application store" tariff, discounts, VAT, bonuses, and related products work the same way as for other product types.
Instructions and description
The instructions are set through the Service activation notification template field in the tariff card. The template can contain:
- access credentials for the deployed application;
- access credentials for the server on which the application is deployed;
- technical instructions for setup and use.
The tariff also has a short description, which is displayed in the card at the application selection step when ordering. The description is shown in collapsed or expanded form according to the product type settings.
