Tariff plan Hyper-V

This article describes the features of configuring a tariff with the Hyper-V processing module. For general tariff plan settings, see How to create and configure a tariff plan.

Tariff settings

To configure a tariff, go to Products → Tariff plans → click Add.

Basic settings

Processing module — select the modules that will process the tariff plan services. Tariffs that are not connected to processing modules will not be available for ordering.

VPS template — the processing module does not use this field in the VPS tariff settings. Leave the field empty.

The platform administrator can manage the default add-ons from the product type settings. For example, see how to manage the OS template in OS templates available for ordering in Hyper-V.

  1. OS templates — a list of operating systems (OS) available for installation on virtual machines (VMs) for this tariff. The OS list is loaded automatically from Hyper-V. To edit it:
    1. Go to Products → Product types → select VPS → Parameters.
    2. Select Operating systems → Values.
    3. Select a value.
    4. Click Tariff plans.
    5. Select the tariffs for which the template will be used.
    6. Click Enable.
  2. Default domain template — a template for generating the domain if the client did not specify their own when ordering the service. The following macros can be used in the field:
    • @USERNAME@ — user name;
    • @TYPE@ — product type;
    • @ID@ — unique service ID.

Tariff content

To configure tariff content, go to Products → Tariff plans → select a tariff → click Options. See more in Tariff plan configuration.

Basic parameters

Basic parameters define the base configuration of the virtual machine: the number of processors, amount of RAM, and disk space. Virtual machine resources are taken from tariff add-ons. If an add-on is missing, the processing module uses the default values: 2 CPU cores, 4 GiB of RAM, 20 GiB of disk space. The description of the basic parameters is shown in the table:

Add-onInternal nameType
Number of processorsncpuInteger
RAMmemInteger (MiB, GiB)
Disk spacedisc, diskInteger (MiB, GiB)

In Hyper-V, shrinking a disk is not supported. Disk space can only be increased.

To prevent the client from reducing disk space when ordering:

  1. Go to Products → Tariff plans → select a tariff plan → click Options.
  2. Create a resource with the Edit resource after order condition set to "Upgrade only".

Additional parameters

You can configure the OS used for the VM:

Add-onInternal nameType
Operating systemostemplEnumeration

If there is no operating system template, VM creation ends with the error Template not found (template_not_set). The processing module does not create templates automatically.
