About integration

When integrated with VMware Cloud Director, BILLmanager guarantees support only for such VDC objects as virtual networks and virtual servers. Errors may occur when working with routers and their components

Integration with Cloud Director allows the provider to offer clients dedicated virtual servers (VDS).

When the service is ordered by the client, BILLmanager sends a VMware API request to create a virtual machine. The service is considered open (in BILLmanager it changes to the “Active” status) when the virtual machine is successfully deployed from the vApp template and connected to the network.

The owner of the virtual machine (the client) is not granted access to Cloud Director, but they can open the VDS web console by clicking the Web-console button.

Integration with VMware Cloud Director (VPS) for providing virtual servers is supported for the following versions:

  • from 5.6 to 8.20;
  • 9.0;
  • 10.2;
  • 10.6.

Section structure

The articles in this section describe the specifics of selling services when integrated with Cloud Director.

Setting up the sale of virtual servers consists of the following steps:

  1. Adding a processing module (integration setup).
  2. Adding a tariff plan  for services.
  3. Configuring add-ons. Some resources require additional setup to sell them with a virtual server. Such resources include ISPsystem control panel license. In the documentation structure, articles about configuring individual resources are children of the Contents of tariff plan article.
